However, wherever there is a positive side there is going to be some negatives sides too. The negative side can sometimes be a deal breaker for some people. Let examine some of the negative characteristics of working with family. Some of the disadvantages of working with family are, personal conflicts can alter flow of business, not knowing when and how to compartmentalize work/personal time, and a lack or rules, and responsibilities can lead to leniency in the workplace. These issues can affect more than just your relationship with a relative. They can also affect the business itself. Which is why it is important to consider how you may impact the business before agreeing to work together.
