Complete 75 hours of broker pre-licensing education
Perry Real Estate College offers the Illinois Real Estate License Course completely online and at your own pace. In Illinois, a real estate agent is called a real estate "broker." Learn more about our course here.

Complete the course final exams
After you finish the course, you will need to take an online proctored exam and pass with a minimum score of 75%.

Pass the Ilinois Real Estate Examination
PSI administers the in-person state licensing exam. There are 140 questions based on the content outline here. You will have 4 hours to complete the exam.

Complete a background questionnaire
After you finish the examination, you will be required to answer a background questionnaire about criminal convictions or debts for taxes or child support. You will then be given instructions on applying to the Illinois Department of Financial & Professional Regulation (IDFPR) and the Division of Real Estate online.

Complete your real estate broker license application
This application must be filled out and submitted to the Division of Real Estate through the IDFPR for approval. Complete the licensing process by submitting your licensing exam results to IDFPR along with the license fee of $125.00. Click here for more information.
