HOW TO GET An Indiana real estate LICENSE

Enroll in our Indiana Broker Course & satisfy all of the educational requirements to obtain an Indiana real estate license. You must be 18 years or older and have a high school diploma or GED equivalent and complete the steps below:

Complete 90 hours of pre-licensing education

In Indiana, a real estate agent is called a real estate "broker." Perry Real Estate College offers the Indiana Real Estate License Course completely online and at your own pace. Compare course packages.

Complete the course final exam

After you finish the course, you will need to take an online exam and pass with a minimum score of 75%.

Pass the Indiana Real Estate Examination

PearsonVue administers the in-person state licensing exam. The exam is split into two different portions: a state portion and a national portion. The state portion consists of 50 multiple-choice questions. The national portion consists of 75 multiple-choice questions.

Select a sponsoring broker

To be licensed, you must be associated with a current and active Indiana sponsoring broker. It's important to find the right broker to work with since this person will serve as your mentor as you start your new career in real estate.

Complete your real estate broker license application

To apply for your Indiana real estate license, you must submit your application to the Indiana Real Estate Commission.
