    Complete the 48-hour Real Estate Broker Course

    Our Missouri Broker Course covers all the educational requirements to become a Missouri Real Estate Broker. Simply login at your convenience and complete the course at your speed.  Learn more about our courses here.

    2

    Complete the course final exam

    After your finish our course, you will need to take our final exam. Students must achieve a 75% or better to pass.

    Get a Background Check

    You will need to use a Missouri certified organization to take your fingerprints and conduct a background check. Click here for more information.

    Pass the Missouri Real Estate Exam

    PSI Administers the in-person state licensing exam. This is the second exam you will need to take and is administered by the Missouri Real Estate Commission through one of their vendors. You will also need a 75% to pass the state exam.

    Submit your license application

    To apply for your Missouri real estate license, contact the Missouri Real Estate Commission and complete your application. They will list the documents you will need to provide. You will obtain errors and omissions insurance at this point in the process. 

    EXEPERIENCE OR EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

    You must be 18 years or older and All applicants for a Missouri broker’s license must fulfill ONE of the following education or experience prerequisites:


    1) Hold a current and active Missouri salesperson license for at least twenty-four (24) of the last thirty (30) months immediately preceding the application for licensure, earn a Certificate of Satisfactory Completion from a 48-hour pre-exam broker course from an accredited Missouri real estate school on or before the exam date, and pass BOTH portions of the Missouri broker exam. Complete application for license must be submitted within six (6) months of the completion date of the broker course;


    2) Be a licensed attorney, hold an active salesperson license and pass BOTH portions of the Missouri broker examination, or if unlicensed, first pass BOTH portions of the Missouri salesperson examination and then BOTH portions of the Missouri broker examination (education requirements and license experience are waived). Complete application for a license must be submitted within six (6) months of passing the Missouri broker exam. If both portions of the exam are not passed in one sitting, the application for license must be submitted within six (6) months of the first passing broker exam score. A copy of current Bar card must be provided with the application for license;


    3) Hold a current and active salesperson license in another jurisdiction, have twenty-four (24) of the last thirty (30) months active salesperson experience, earn a Certificate of Satisfactory Completion from a 48-hour pre-exam broker course from an accredited Missouri real estate school on or before the exam date, and pass BOTH portions of the Missouri broker examination. Complete application for a license must be submitted within six (6) months of the completion date of the broker course. A current license (history) certification issued within three (3) months from the real estate commission of the state/jurisdiction from which currently licensed must be provided with the application for licensure (a copy of license is not acceptable; or


    4) Hold a current and active broker license in another jurisdiction, have twenty-four (24) of the last thirty (30) months active license experience as a real estate salesperson or broker, and pass the state portion of the Missouri broker exam. Complete application for a license must be submitted within six (6) months of passing the state portion of the broker exam. A current license (history) certification issued within three (3) months from the real estate commission of the state/jurisdiction from which currently licensed must be provided with the application for licensure (a copy of license is not acceptable).
