Online Texas post-licensing course package to fulfill the SAE educational requirements
Course Titles: Real Estate Brokerage, Real Estate Law, & Real Estate Appraisal
Course Credit Hours: 90
Texas Real Estate Commission Qualifying Education Provider Approval #701089
All new Texas real estate sales agents must complete 90 hours of SAE post-licensing education and 8 hours of Legal Update I & II within the first 2 years of obtaining and activating their license. This package does not include the 8 hours required for Legal Update I & II.
Our courses are entirely online, so you can get your real estate license without leaving home. The self-paced course also allows you to choose when to study.
Our high pass rates make us the most trusted provider for real estate agents in Houston, Dallas, Austin, San Antonio, Fort Worth, El Paso, Arlington, and beyond.
Studying online does not mean you’re alone, it just means flexibility. You will have access to instructor support seven days a week.
We know it can be scary to take an online course and it's easy to feel like you are alone in the process. Our student support is just different, you won't find another school out there that supports you like we do.
Day or night, seven days a week, every time you call, you'll be greeted by a real person - not a machine. The person you talk to will be an expert and able to help you right away. The other schools only answer when it is convenient for them and you'll have to wait days to get a response from an instructor, if at all.
We're a family-owned business, genuinely invested in seeing you achieve your goals. Come see why we are the trusted source for successful agents and brokers.

In Texas, newly licensed sales agents must complete a total of 270 qualifying real estate course hours to renew their license for the first time. Since you completed 180 hours for your pre-licensing education, you must complete an additional 90 hours of Sales Agent Apprentice Education (SAE), plus two mandatory courses: a 4-hour Legal Update I and a 4-hour Legal Update II. The total hours needed for your first renewal is 98 hours. Our post-license package does not include Legal Update I & II.
You must complete all of your required SAE courses before the end of your initial two-year license period. Your license expiration date is the last day of the month, two years after your license was first issued. Keep in mind you also need an additional 8 hours in Legal Update I & II.
SAE (Sales Agent Apprentice Education) is the specific set of post-licensing courses required for your first license renewal as a new agent in Texas. CE (Continuing Education) is the 18-hour education requirement for every subsequent renewal after your first. SAE hours are far more extensive and focus on building the foundational knowledge you need as a new professional.
Yes. Our Texas real estate post-license courses are 100% online and self-paced, allowing you to complete them on your schedule from any location with an internet connection. This is the most flexible way to meet TREC's requirements.
After you successfully complete a course and pass the final exam, we will electronically report your completion to the Texas Real Estate Commission (TREC). This process typically takes 1-3 business days. You will also receive a certificate of completion for your own records.
If you do not complete your required SAE hours before your license expires, your license will become inactive. You will be unable to practice real estate until you complete the courses and pay a late renewal fee. TREC also charges a $200 CE Deferral Fee to renew your license without having your hours submitted.
Completing your SAE hours is a vital step in your career. After completing your post-licensing education and gaining the required experience as a sales agent, you will be eligible to pursue your Texas real estate broker license.
