How to get a real estate managing broker license in Indiana

Are you a licensed real estate agent in Indiana looking to obtain your Indiana Managing Broker License? Our fully online Indiana broker licensing school can help. Indiana State License Law requires that to qualify for managing broker eligibility, one must hold a broker license for two years and complete a 24-hour managing broker course. Once you qualify, you can apply to the Commission for eligibility, using the Application for Designation as a Managing Broker form.

Register with the SOS & IPLA

Once you have completed your eligibility, you then need to register your company with the Secretary of State. Visit inbiz.in.gov for more information. If you are already a broker and your license is being held by another brokerage, then you will also need to complete the reassignment of real estate license.

Get a Background Check

You will need to use an Indiana-certified organization to take your fingerprints and conduct a background check.

Complete the Managing Broker Pre-License course

This 24-Hour Indiana Managing Broker course covers core topics essential to the development of a real estate managing broker.

Pass the Indiana Real Estate Examination

Pearson Vue administers the in-person state licensing exam. The exam is split into two different portions: a state portion and a national portion. The state portion consists of 50 multiple-choice questions. The national portion consists of 75 multiple-choice questions.

Submit your application

Once you have completed all of these steps and fulfilled the experience requirements, you can submit your application and obtain your Indiana Real Estate Managing Broker License.
