Why Choose Perry Real Estate College
We know it can be scary to take an online course and it's easy to feel like you are alone in the process. Our student support is just different, you won't find another school out there that supports you like we do.
Day or night, seven days a week, every time you call, you'll be greeted by a real person - not a machine. The person you talk to will be an expert and able to help you right away. The other schools only answer when it is convenient for them and you'll have to wait days to get a response from an instructor, if at all.
We're a family-owned business, genuinely invested in seeing you achieve your goals. Come see why we are the trusted source for successful agents and brokers.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
In Ohio, all new real estate brokers are required to complete 10 hours of post-licensing education within their first year of licensure. This education is mandatory to keep your license on active status and ensure you are up-to-date on key broker-level responsibilities.
You must complete the 10-hour post-licensing course within twelve months of the date your broker's license was issued. This is a strict deadline, and it is a separate requirement from your ongoing continuing education.
If you do not complete the 10 hours of post-licensing education by your one-year deadline, your license may be placed on inactive status or suspended. You will not be able to legally practice as a broker until you complete the required education and reactivate your license with the Ohio Division of Real Estate & Professional Licensing (ODRE).
The Ohio Division of Real Estate & Professional Licensing has a specific curriculum for broker post-licensing education. Our course is designed to meet these requirements and covers essential topics for new brokers, including:
- Brokerage Operations and Policies
- Ohio Civil Rights Act and Fair Housing Laws
- Business Planning and Management
- Broker-specific responsibilities regarding agency relationships and advertising

No. The 10-hour post-licensing course is a one-time requirement for newly licensed brokers. It is separate from the 30 hours of continuing education that all active Ohio brokers must complete every three years for subsequent renewals. Your 10-hour post-licensing education does not count toward your future CE requirements.
