HOW TO GET A REAL ESTATE LICENSE IN KENTUCKY

    Requirements: You must be 18 years or older and have a high school diploma or GED equivalent.

    Complete 96 hours of pre-licensing education

    Perry Real Estate College offers this course completely online and completed at your own pace.  Learn more about our course here.

    Complete the course final exam

    After you finish the course, you will need to take an online proctored exam and pass with a minimum score of 75%.

    Submit the background check requirement

    You must submit your fingerprints to the Kentucky Bureau of Investigation for a criminal background check. For more information click here.

    Pass the Kentucky Real Estate Exam

    PSI Administers the in-person state licensing exam. There are 130 questions with two portions. 80 national questions and 50 state-specific questions will be on the exam. You will have 240 minutes to complete the exam.  Click here for our comprehensive Exam Prep Package.

    Submit your license application

    To apply for your Kentucky real estate license, contact the Kentucky Real Estate Commission. They will list the documents you need to provide. You will obtain errors and omissions insurance at this point in the process.
