You must be 18 Years or older and have a high school diploma or GED equivalent and
- Register for the 40 hours of Pre-Licensing Education.
- Complete the proctored course final exam.Â
- Select a sponsoring broker.
- Start the application.
- Pass the Michigan Real Estate Examination.
- Finalize application and obtain license.

There is no Post-License Requirements for Michigan. You must complete 18 hours of continuing education every three year renewal cycle.Â
Must be 18 years or older and have been licensed as a salesperson for three years
- Complete 90 hours of broker pre-license education.
- Complete the course final exam.
- File your license application.Â
- Pass the Michigan Real Estate Licensing Exam.
